In short: Lorvin is a display catalogue. You do not need an account, we have no shopping cart or payment system, and we do not ask you for any personal details to browse. We only learn who you are if you choose to message us on WhatsApp.

1. Who we are

This policy explains how Lorvin ("we", "us") handles information on this website. If you have questions, contact us at lorvin.in@gmail.com.

2. Information you give us

The website has no sign-up, no contact form and no newsletter. The only way you share information with us is by choosing to contact us.

When you tap "I'm Interested" on a product, your device opens WhatsApp with a message prepared for you naming that item. Nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp. If you do send it, we will see your WhatsApp phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and picture, and whatever you write to us — the same as any other WhatsApp message. We use this only to answer your enquiry about the jewellery.

3. Your choice, and how to change it

Two things on this site are optional, and neither happens unless you switch it on: usage statistics (section 4) and the AI assistant (section 5). When you first visit we ask about each one separately. Both start switched off, and refusing is one tap, in the same place and the same size as accepting.

Browsing the catalogue needs neither, and works identically whatever you choose. You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings in the footer of every page.

One honest limitation: withdrawing consent stops anything further from that moment, but a tracking script that has already loaded into the page you are looking at cannot be unloaded from it. Reload the page after withdrawing and it will not load again.

4. Usage statistics (optional)

We use Google Analytics to understand how the catalogue is used — which pieces are viewed, searched for, saved or shared, and how many people visit. Google sets cookies to do this and receives your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view. We see only grouped statistics: we cannot tell who you are from them, and we do not run advertising trackers or build profiles for advertising.

You can opt out at any time by installing Google's browser add-on, by blocking cookies for this site, or by using your browser's private mode. The catalogue works exactly the same either way.

Separately, as with any website, the services that deliver these pages and images receive standard technical information from your browser — such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time. This is ordinary server logging needed to deliver the site to you.

5. The AI assistant (optional)

If you switch it on, the shop's assistant answers questions about the collection using Google Gemini. The question you type is sent to Google, together with a description of the pieces in our catalogue, so that it can suggest ones that match. Please do not type personal details into it — it only needs to know what you are looking for.

Leave it switched off and the assistant still answers, by searching the catalogue on your own device. Nothing you type is sent anywhere in that case.

6. Who else receives data

These are the third parties involved in running this site, what each receives, and whether you get a choice about it. Several process data outside India, each under its own privacy policy.

• Google Firebase — hosts the site and stores the catalogue. Receives your IP address and standard request information on every visit. Necessary; no choice, short of not using the site.
• Cloudinary — stores and delivers the product photographs. Receives your IP address and browser type when an image loads. Necessary for the same reason.
• Google Fonts — supplies the two typefaces the site is set in. Receives your IP address when a page loads.
• Google Analytics — usage statistics. Optional, off unless you turn it on.
• Google Gemini — the AI assistant. Optional, off unless you turn it on.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you choose to message us. They then see your number and message, as with any WhatsApp chat.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, and we do not share it for advertising.

7. Cookies and local storage

Google Analytics sets cookies to count a repeat visit as the same visit rather than a new one, as described in section 4, and only once you have turned them on. We set no advertising cookies.

Your browser also stores a few things on your own device, which never leave it and are never sent to us: the pieces you have saved to your wishlist, your recent searches, and your chosen catalogue layout. Signing in is used only by the shop owner for the private admin area.

8. How long we keep things

We keep WhatsApp conversations for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for our ordinary business records. You can ask us to delete your chat with us at any time. Product information in our catalogue is business data and contains nothing about you.

Two other records exist because you asked for them. A consent record notes which of the optional purposes you agreed to and against which version of this notice; it carries nothing that identifies you, not even your IP address.

9. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to confirm what personal data of yours we hold, to correct it if wrong, or to erase it. Since the only personal data we normally hold is a WhatsApp conversation you started, this usually means asking us to delete that chat.

You may also withdraw a consent you gave earlier. For the optional trackers that needs no form and tells us nothing about you — use Cookie settings in the footer.

To make any other request, or to raise a grievance about how we have handled your information, email lorvin.in@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

10. Children

This website is intended for adults shopping for jewellery and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information about children.

11. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. The admin area that manages the catalogue is password protected and restricted to authorised staff. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we hold.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information — for example by adding a contact form or online payments — we will update this page and change the date at the top.
